Improving the electoral process: ELECAM revisits the last decade with other actors in order to better organize the next electoral cycle 2023-2025
According to Cameroon Tribune, Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) is scanning the horizon with the other actors in the electoral and referendum process (political parties, traditional leaders, the church and civil society). To strengthen the credibility of the electoral process, "each actor must play its role fully," says Mr. ENAW ABRAMS EGBE, chairman of the electoral council of ELECAM. ELECAM must know how to manage the different actors involved in the electoral process and, above all, apply the rules in force. All the actors must bring their know-how in the field of elections to ELECAM in order to improve the system (sensitization of the population, mobilization for voter registration, encouraging the population to go and vote, etc.) and work to make the elections less contestable and therefore more credible.
