Cameroon-ICT: Yaoundé hosts the first week of digital innovation from 24 to 29 June 2019
The event which is organized by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (Minpostel) is held at the campus of the National School of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT. This is the first national event in the sector led by the Minpostel. The contours and details of this meeting were presented by the Minister in charge, Minette Libom Li Likeng on June 11th. This is the national contest for the selection of innovative and promising projects, which is the flagship activity of the week, organized for all Cameroonian start-ups resident in Cameroon. The winner will receive the special prize of the President of the Republic. But the challenge is to bring out all the good ideas and develop them. "The 15 best projects will have to give birth to 15 emerging companies," explains the minister. In other words, project leaders will receive support for their transformation into real companies. The obvious interest of such an event, said the minister is to "stimulate creativity and healthy emulation among players in the digital ecosystem and make national and international competitiveness, young people with digital innovation ". Hence the theme chosen for this first edition "Innovez, create and especially dare". Also on the agenda this week of digital innovation, other activities include: coaching and help in developing business plans for project leaders.
