Inauguration of the new bridge over the Sanaga in Nachtigal, a link between the city of Yaoundé and the city of Ntui
Ntui, a colonial city erected as the capital of the Mbam and Inoubou department in 1992, is now linked to Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon by a paved road. Crossing the Sanaga River is now done by the new bridge at Nachtigal (and no longer by the old ferry left by the settlers), on the national no.15 which goes from Batchenga in the Lékie to Ngaoundéré in the Adamaoua region. (593 km). The Ministers of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Ndjoumessi, and Public Procurement, Ibrahim Talba Mala, inaugurated this great work on December 18, 2020. It should be noted that, the new bridge over the Sanaga river in Nachtigal is 400 m long and 11.96 m wide. The work cost 12.39 billion CFA francs with funding from the State and the French Development Agency (AFD). Suddenly, the infrastructure of life or rebirth becomes a link between the city of Yaoundé and the large agricultural basin of the Center region that is Ntui (cocoa, plantain, macabo, yam, etc.) . In addition, the city of Ntui also benefited from 7.3 km of paved urban road network.
